It’s one of those days when I am trying to get through my ‘to do’ list and although I have the prospect of a weeks holiday in the Canary Islands with relatives to look forward to, it all seems a bit untimely. You would think that after so many years, I would have got over the guilt of actually daring to have a holiday, but sadly, it still lives with me….. However, dare I say it, the world of Care4all seems relatively calm and everyone is busying away and as always, doing their very best to support the work of the charity.
My afternoon will be spent with our lovely Board of Trustees and a number of our great staff, considering how we will achieve our goals in the coming year. Some people might think that a few hours of reflection and discussion is a total waste of time (and I bet they’re getting their lunch paid for – no we are not!) but believe me, it can be hugely valuable and really help us to collectively understand what we are all striving for.
I really believe that in these uncertain and challenging times, Care4all is actually doing OK – well, to be truthful, more than OK…. We know that our aim is to continue to support vulnerable people living in North East Lincolnshire and beyond and that is exactly what we are doing; successfully, consistently and with love and compassion.
